Job Summary
Perform drywall and partition installations by measuring, cutting, and fitting materials according to design plans. Manage project schedules, coordinate with teams and stakeholders, and ensure quality standards and timely delivery on site.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install drywall, acoustic panels, and partition materials according to design plans to meet project specifications
- Construct framing and support systems for partitions and ceilings to ensure structural integrity and safety
- Apply joint compound, sand surfaces, and finish drywall to achieve a smooth, polished look that meets design requirements
- Inspect installed work to verify compliance with quality standards and design specifications
- Plan and manage project schedules and site activities to ensure timely completion
- Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to coordinate operations and resolve issues
- Coordinate with building owners, architects, consultants, and contractors to align project goals and requirements
- Ensure timely delivery and availability of equipment and materials on site
- Conduct pre-installation inspections and prepare the site for installation activities
- Attend early morning Toolbox Meetings to communicate safety and work plans
- Liaise with workers in dormitories to coordinate work schedules and ensure punctuality
- Maintain daily reports of work progress and site activities
- Perform other ad-hoc assignments as directed by management
Required competencies and certifications
- Ability to calculate surface area accurately for material estimation and installation planning
- Ability to work safely at heights during installation tasks
- Willingness and ability to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays as required
- Independent, resourceful, and able to work effectively under pressure
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Previous experience in drywall installation or similar construction work is advantageous
