As an
NDT Inspector I, youll perform Non destruction test inspection and identification of defects on engines and its components
The Job
Perform chemical clean and non-destructive inspection of gas turbine engines module and component parts in accordance with respect to applicable manual and approved instructions
- Location of defects in various materials, components and structures with a high probability of detection
- Ensure that all engine parts are detected for defects according to the prescribed standards and procedures
- Examine, interpret and evaluate test results with regard to applicable standards
- Record findings and test results
- Conduct scheduled system performance checks
- Interpret EM Manuals and applicable CIR for Engine Models
- Read updates on maintenance manuals, service bulletins, other specifications and regulatory requirements
- Performs general facility and equipment maintenance including 6s housekeeping
- Work independently and as a team to achieve maximum quality
- Observe all applicable safety practices
- Model behaviors consistent with good quality, health and safety, and environmental management practices.
Requirements
GCE ' N' or 'O' Level / Nitec/ Higher Nitec / Diploma from a Technical discipline or equivalent
- NAS 410 FPI Level 2 / MPI Level 2
- Qualified NPT Level 2 Inspector in FPI, MPI or ECI methods
- No colour perception deficiency
- Familiar with the relevant airworthiness and regulatory agencies requirements
- Minimum of 2 years manual machining experience
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, technical drawings, and blueprints
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Able to support occasional overtime work
