Insights Manager, APAC

Division: Global Insights & Strategy | Reporting to: Insights Director International

Support high-impact global brand initiatives and help shape business decisions through actionable market, competitor, and consumer insightsprimarily across APAC, with opportunities to support other regions.

  • What you'll bring to the team
  • Trading & regional performance support: Support ongoing trading reporting for APAC (and other regions as required), delivering clear, reliable performance read-outs.
  • Market & competitive intelligence: Lead competitive intelligence and support analysis of market trends and performance dynamics across Merlin and competitors.
  • Project planning & execution: Support global insights projects by helping build project plans, manage timelines/milestones, and drive deliverables through to completion.
  • Data support & integrity: Support data collection, validation (including external sources), analysis, and interpretationensuring accuracy throughout.
  • Insightful reporting: Help prepare and present clear, compelling reports and presentations with key findings, trends, and recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder communication: Maintain effective updates with project stakeholders on progress, challenges, and outcomes.
  • Resource & knowledge management: Support Regional Insight Leads and the Global Insights Director in maintaining a centralized insights resource/website and enabling stakeholders (especially Marketing) with timely information.
  • Analytical & strategic thinking: Use data analysis and visualization to simplify complexity into actionable insights for different regions and teams.
  • Consumer research delivery: Write and launch consumer surveys (using established methodologies), analyze results, and lead debriefs through high-impact read-outs and stakeholder communications.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Regional Insights Leads and partner with finance, commercial, marketing, brand, strategy, and planning teams to embed insights into key initiatives.
  • Global team ways of working: Operate effectively in a global team with flexibility in working hours, including approximately 4 evening calls per month with participants across APAC, Europe, and the US, and weekly Monday trading calls with Australia and New Zealand in the early morning (Singapore time).

  • Some experience in an insights, research, or analytical role in a business setting (consumer, leisure, entertainment, or retail experience is a plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize market and competitor data from multiple sources into actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with insights reporting and data visualization, and confidence supporting presentation development.
  • Experience supporting multi-stakeholder projects, with an outcomes-focused approach.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with performance and trend data.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.
