Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW

This role is a senior role focused on supporting business growth by using intelligence, strategy, and commercial knowledge. This person finds growth opportunities by turning market information, audience data, and competitor insights into clear recommendations that help the business and clients succeed.

This role goes beyond traditional insights work by actively searching for growth areas, understanding where opportunities exist, and giving teams the information and tools they need to make quick decisions. They need to work closely with growth, strategy, and client teams across APAC, needing experience in different markets and the ability to turn complex data into easy-to-understand business stories.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Strategic Insight Development

  • Conduct research across market trends, customer behaviour, competitive activity, and internal performance metrics to inform strategic priorities and business decisions.
  • Analyse and synthesise complex data sets into clear, actionable insights that support presentations, pitches, strategic planning, and commercial decision-making.
  • Create insight-driven content — including reports, briefs, and presentations — that inform growth initiatives, client opportunities, and business direction.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry dynamics across APAC markets to proactively surface emerging opportunities and risks.
  • Lead insight workstreams end-to-end, from scoping and methodology design through to synthesis and final delivery.

2. Advisory & Consultative Support

  • Act as a strategic advisor to teams by providing evidence‑based recommendations and frameworks for story telling or decision‑making.
  • Partner with growth, strategy, and client teams to ensure insights are embedded into planning, pitches, and client conversations.
  • Facilitate insight discussions and workshops to help teams interpret data, align on implications, and prioritize actions.
  • Support on client projects and engagements, including but not limited to workshop development and delivery.
  • Communicate findings to stakeholders with clarity, confidence, and narrative structure that drives alignment and action

3. Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior internal stakeholders across functions including growth, strategy, product, and leadership.
  • Manage external client relationships to deliver insight-related projects
  • Navigate complex stakeholder environments across multiple APAC markets, adapting communication and approach to local context and audience needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-regional teams to ensure consistency of insight quality and approach across markets.

4.Business Enablement and Opportunity Intelligence

  • Identify and surface commercial growth opportunities through proactive analysis of market conditions, category trends, audience behaviour, and competitive landscape across APAC.
  • Provide intelligence and solutioning support to growth and commercial teams, translating insight into clear opportunity frameworks that drive revenue and business development.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop insight-led propositions and narratives that unlock new client opportunities or expand existing relationships.
  • Contribute to pitch and proposal development by injecting relevant insight, data, and growth intelligence that strengthens the commercial case.

Mandatory Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Business, Economics, Marketing, Social Sciences, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • Postgraduate qualification (MBA or Master's) is advantageous but not essential.

Experience

  • 3 years minimum of experience, ideally 5 years in insights, strategy, management consulting, or a related analytical field.
  • Proven cross-market experience across multiple APAC markets (e.g. Singapore, Australia, Southeast Asia, China, Japan), with the ability to contextualise insights within regional nuances.
  • Demonstrated experience managing both internal and external stakeholders at a senior level, including clients, leadership teams, and cross-functional partners.
  • Track record of delivering high-quality, insight-led work that has directly influenced business strategy or client outcomes.
  • Experience designing and delivering client workshops, presentations, and advisory engagements.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities, with proficiency in data interpretation and synthesis.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and data visualisation tools; familiarity with research platforms and analytics tools is an advantage.
  • Highly structured thinker with the ability to break down complex problems into clear frameworks and recommendations.
  • Commercially astute with a strong understanding of business dynamics and client needs.
  • Collaborative and adaptable, with the confidence to influence and challenge constructively at all levels.
