Infrastructure Lawyer (Electricity)

Elevate is supporting a global technology client in engaging an experienced electricity sector lawyer for a part-time, 6-month contract role, with strong potential to extend. The role supports datacenter electricity matters across the APAC region and requires availability aligned to Singapore business hours.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior business stakeholders, in-house legal teams, and external counsel, advising on complex electricity and regulatory matters and progressing negotiations across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising on electricity interconnection and supply arrangements for data centres.
  • Supporting negotiations with utilities, data centre landlords, and renewable energy developers (including PPAs and attribute agreements).
  • Providing legal and regulatory insights on electricity policy matters.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and local law firms across APAC.

Requirements:

  • Experience advising on and negotiating electricity interconnection, supply, and related agreements for large electricity customers.
  • Exposure to electricity regulation and/or policy advocacy.
  • Law degree from a reputable institution; active practising certificate preferred (Australia, India, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, or Singapore).
  • Minimum 4 years relevant experience in private practice; in-house experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; English fluency required.
