Job Summary
Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the implementation, administration, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimisation of enterprise infrastructure environments. This role supports project delivery and maintenance support services across Microsoft infrastructure, virtualisation, storage, backup, and recovery platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and operational reliability of customer IT environments.
Principal Accountabilities
- Administer and maintain Microsoft infrastructure environments, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Entra Connect, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, DFS, WSUS, Remote Desktop Services (RDS), and Hyper-V.
- Manage enterprise storage environments, including storage provisioning, performance monitoring, capacity management, Fibre Channel SAN administration, and storage expansion activities.
- Administer backup and recovery environments, including backup monitoring, recovery testing, restoration activities, disaster recovery support, and backup policy management.
- Participate in infrastructure implementation, migration, upgrade, and modernization projects, including installation, configuration, testing, deployment, documentation, and handover activities.
- Monitor infrastructure availability, performance, and capacity, troubleshoot infrastructure-related incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to ensure service reliability.
Requirements
- Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments, including Microsoft server, storage, backup, and virtualisation platforms.
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, endpoint management, storage, backup, and recovery technologies.
- Troubleshooting, communication, and technical documentation skills.
- Professional certifications in relevant infrastructure technologies will be an advantage.
