Infrastructure Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Blockchain Infrastructure Engineer to build and operate two critical BNB Smart Chain infrastructure systems: MegaNode, our high-performance RPC platform, and BSC Builder, our block-building and MEV execution platform.

You will work on low-latency transaction processing, block construction, RPC reliability, full-node integrations, hardfork compatibility, and production incident resolution. This role is ideal for an engineer who can move comfortably between blockchain client internals and high-scale distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize BSC Builder capabilities, including transaction and bundle ingestion, block building, bid submission, payment flows, and builder-to-validator integrations.
• Improve backrun and block-construction performance through pathfinding, parallel transaction optimization, EVM simulation, and execution deduplication.
• Build systems for bid, transaction, bundle, and backrun tracking; improve the observability and storage efficiency of the builder pipeline.
• Implement and maintain BSC protocol and hardfork upgrades in Builder and MegaNode, including client/API compatibility and downstream-service adaptation.
• Develop MegaNode components for high-throughput RPC, block/state-diff collection, trace/debug APIs, and lightweight-node infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues involving Kafka message ordering, node/block-tree stalls, RPC panics, long-tail EVM simulations, and multi-region releases.
• Improve reliability, latency, capacity, monitoring, and incident-response processes for critical RPC and builder services.
• Work closely with protocol, DevOps, and QA teams to design, test, release, and operate production-grade infrastructure.

Requirements

• 4+ years of backend, infrastructure, distributed-systems, or blockchain engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Go. Solid experience with Rust, C++, or Java is a plus.
• Strong understanding of concurrent programming, distributed systems, Linux, networking, and production debugging.
• Hands-on experience with EVM-compatible blockchains, including transactions, mempools, EVM execution, JSON-RPC, and full-node operations.
• Familiarity with blockchain client internals such as go-ethereum, BSC, Reth, or comparable node implementations.
• Experience designing and operating high-availability, low-latency services in production.
• Strong ownership mindset: able to investigate ambiguous issues, identify root causes, and deliver robust fixes independently.
• Comfortable collaborating across engineering, QA, and operations in a fast-moving environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with BNB Smart Chain, BSC Builder, PBS, MEV, block bidding, transaction bundles, or backrun strategies.
• Experience with gRPC, Kafka, S3/object storage, Prometheus, Grafana, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience optimizing EVM simulation, transaction execution, RPC trace APIs, or state-diff/indexing pipelines.
• Experience with hardfork upgrades and compatibility work across blockchain clients and downstream infrastructure.
• Experience building public RPC products or developer-facing blockchain APIs.
• Contributions to open-source blockchain infrastructure projects.
