Infrastructure Engineer

Administer and maintain Linux and Windows virtual infrastructure. Provide system installation, configuration, patching, and hardening. Ensure performance, security, and capacity management while supporting troubleshooting and proactive maintenance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure services and support development teams. Manage VMware vSphere, and automation processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.

What will you do

• Administer and operate Windows VM infrastructure
• Perform installation, configuration, patching, and system hardening
• Maintain security and ensure compliance with policies and standards
• Conduct performance tuning and capacity management activities
• Provide preventive and proactive system support
• Manage incidents, changes, and problems following ITSM practices
• Support development teams with system administration and application configurations
• Operate and maintain VMware vSphere infrastructure
• Integrate automation processes using custom scripts or third-party tools such as Ansible or Chef
• Provide technical leadership for resolving issues and handling sensitive situations
• Collaborate with storage, network, security, and application delivery teams
• Support infrastructure agents such as NetBackup for backup operations
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and execution

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Five or more years of IT experience in Linux and Windows administration
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration
• Proficiency in VMware vSphere 7.x operations
• Understanding of SAN storage and networking concepts for Windows
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or scripting
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to collaborate across technical teams
• Effective written and spoken English communication skills
• Proactive and service-oriented mindset
• Leadership qualities to handle technical challenges
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (preferred)
• VMware certification (preferred)
