SCOPE OVERVIEW

An Infrastructure Engineer is responsiblefor designing, building, deploying, and maintaining the IT infrastructure thatsupports a company's operations. This includes hardware like servers, storagedevices, and networking equipment, as well as software like operating systems,databases, and virtualization platforms..

Design and Architecture:

• Designing and planning the infrastructure to meet the organization's needs.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation for the infrastructure.
• Ensuring the infrastructure aligns with industry best practices and security standards.

Implementation and Deployment:

• Deploying and configuring hardware and software components.
• Integrating new infrastructure components with existing systems.
• Performing system upgrades and migrations.

Maintenance and Support:

• Monitoring system performance and identifying potential issues.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.
• Performing regular maintenance tasks like backups, updates, and security patches.
• Providing technical support to end-users.

Security:

• Implementing security measures to protect the infrastructure from threats.
• Conducting regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Responding to security incidents and implementing corrective actions.

Automation:

• Automating routine tasks to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
• Developing scripts and tools to streamline infrastructure management.

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong understanding of Redhat Linux, MySQL, MSSQL and networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
• Proficiency in Windows server administration and patch management.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Nutanix HCI).
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Bash), Docker and Kubernetes.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
