Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will plan, design, procure, implement, and operate the organisation's network and endpoint infrastructure across multiple sites. You'll deliver secure and reliable connectivity and endpoint services, support day-to-day operations and incident response, and work closely with vendors and stakeholders to deliver infrastructure projects (e.g., new site setups, office renovations, on-prem network deployments).

Key Responsibilities

Network Infrastructure Engineering

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of network infrastructure: planning, design, procurement, implementation, and BAU operations
• Evaluate and implement network solutions to improve capability, security, and manageability (LAN/WAN/SDN/routing/security)
• Act as network SME for business/ICT projects—provide consultancy, architecture inputs, and implementation support
• Lead and deliver network infrastructure projects, including vendor coordination, procurement, stakeholder updates, and progress reporting
• Perform incident response and troubleshooting for network issues; provide timely updates and remediation actions
• Execute firmware/software upgrades under change management processes
• Ensure network setup complies with Government IM8 policies and hardening guidelines; support compliance and audit activities (responses and closure)
• Define and maintain operations/support standards, maintenance strategies (including predictive/pre-emptive), and lifecycle sustainment plans
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and BAU responsibilities; handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Endpoint Management

• Manage the endpoint lifecycle: planning, design, procurement, deployment, operations, maintenance, and retirement
• Administer enterprise endpoint platforms (e.g., Microsoft Intune, ServiceNow, dashboards) to ensure device health, compliance, and availability
• Drive endpoint initiatives: provisioning, imaging, software packaging/deployment, patching, firmware updates, and device lifecycle activities
• Ensure endpoint security and compliance with Government ICT policies/cybersecurity standards, including vulnerability remediation and hardening
• Act as endpoint SME for projects—solution design, implementation, and operational support
• Lead endpoint projects end-to-end: procurement, vendor management, stakeholder engagement, and reporting
• Supervise on-site support engineers (tasking, technical guidance, quality checks) and coordinate with End User Support Services for device provisioning and desktop issue resolution
• Develop and maintain SOPs, technical documentation, and knowledge articles; drive proactive maintenance, monitoring, and continual service improvement
• Provide regular management reporting on service health, risks, compliance, and improvement plans

Preferred Skills

• Degree/Diploma in a relevant discipline (or equivalent)
• 5+ years experience across network infrastructure + desktop/endpoint operations, including server/LAN room setup and project deployments
• Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, SDN, routing, network security, and infrastructure setup
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft endpoint ecosystem (M365, MS Office, Intune)
• Working knowledge of ITIL v3 practices
• Experience in vendor and contract management
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; able to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences and senior management
• Self-driven and able to work independently; willing to support after-hours work when required

• Experience in Singapore Government ICT environments, policies, and standards (IM8)
• Prior experience supporting Government agencies
• Relevant network certifications
• Relevant M365 certifications
• ITIL v3 or higher certification
