Information Technology Security Officer

Job Description

• Develop, implement, and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and standards
• Monitor systems and networks for security breaches, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity
• Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and security audits
• Respond to and manage security incidents, including investigation and remediation
• Ensure secure configuration of servers, endpoints, applications, and network devices
• Manage identity and access controls, including user authentication and authorization
• Oversee data protection measures, backups, and disaster recovery planning
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks, legal, and regulatory requirements
• Provide security awareness training and guidance to staff
• Liaise with internal teams, auditors, and external security vendors
• Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practice

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field

• 2-5 years of experience in information security, IT security, or systems/network administration

• CISSP, CISM, or CEH

• Experience in security monitoring, incident response, or risk management is required
