Job Summary
The IT Operations Technician provides day-to-day technical support and ensures smooth operation of the company's IT infrastructure. This role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, maintaining systems, and assisting staff with IT-related concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support for company desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and maintain routers, firewalls, access points (Unifi), and basic network connections.
- Administer and monitor CCTV systems and company database systems.
- Perform routine IT maintenance, updates, and backups.
- Assist in network administration and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Ensure IT security compliance on desktops and company systems.
- Document incidents and resolutions, escalating issues as needed.
- Monitor and maintain IT systems, networks, and servers to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide first-level technical support to staff, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and update workstations, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Perform routine system backups, patching, and preventive maintenance.
- Manage user accounts, access rights, and passwords in accordance with company policies.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and changes for tracking and reporting purposes.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- 1-3 years of IT support or network administration experience.
- Knowledge in Windows Server basics (user management, updates, backups).
- Familiarity with routers, firewalls, and access point configuration.
- Experience in troubleshooting hardware/software, CCTV, and business applications.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Knowledgeable in MySQL Database, and basic PHP development (Laravel)
- Knoweldgeable in routersm firewall and peripherals troubleshooting
- Knowledgeable in Network Administration and Maintenance
- Knowledgeable in configuring, tuning, maintaining, monitoring and installing Windows Server 2019 Datacenter server
- Administer physical servers, virtual machines (Hyper-V). Administer Access Points (Unify)
- Administer PFsense Firewall (Community Edition), CCTV, GL Machines, desktops and database systems
