- Lead the planning, upgrade, and deployment of clinical IT systems in close collaboration with end-users and vendors.
- Manage the annual IT roadmap, including procurement activities and overall project delivery.
- Serve as a Credentialed Trainer and conduct onboarding sessions for new clinical system users.
- Review and evaluate system change requests, resolve technical issues, and implement necessary configuration updates.
- Ensure secure and efficient integration between internal and external systems.
- Drive improvements in system functionality, focusing on cloud adoption and workflow automation.
- Manage departmental IT assets and coordinate requirements for data analysis and reporting.
- Oversee vendor contracts while ensuring adherence to SOPs and compliance with audit standards.
- Identify, recommend, and deploy digital or AI-based solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Assist in monitoring performance metrics and supporting process improvement efforts.
- Participate in interdepartmental and cross-institutional informatics initiatives.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the reporting manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related healthcare discipline.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in informatics, systems support, or healthcare IT.
- Prior experience with EPIC systems is highly preferred.
- Strong expertise in:
(a) Cloud computing principles
(b) DICOM, HL7, and LAN/WAN networking
(c) Internet and system connectivity protocols - Knowledge of procurement procedures and budget management.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and firewall administration.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively while meeting tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-changing environment.
