Industrial Senior Engineer

Job Responsibilities

Space Planning & Optimization

• Lead space planning activities to optimize utilization across production, offices, labs, and shared environments.
• Develop and maintain space allocation plans, production facilities, and layout standards to support business needs, growth, and efficiency.
• Continuously assess space usage and recommend improvements based on utilization data and organizational changes.

Compliance & Regulatory Standards

• Ensure all spaces comply with internal space standards, building codes, safety regulations, and local regulatory requirements.
• Partner with EHS, Legal, HR, and external authorities to address compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation and audit readiness related to space standards and regulatory requirements.

Capacity Planning & Ramp Management

• Own capacity planning to support production needs, workforce growth, hiring ramps, and business expansion.
• Forecast short-term and long-term space demand based on headcount modeling, program needs, and business priorities.
• Develop ramp and contingency plans to ensure space readiness for new teams, projects, or sites.

Project Management

• Manage end-to-end space-related projects, including moves, expansions, renovations, restacks, and new site build-outs.
• Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and milestones track execution and manage risks.
• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders (Facilities, IT, Finance, Procurement, vendors) to ensure timely and successful delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting

• Act as a trusted partner to business leaders by translating business requirements into effective space solutions.
• Prepare capacity, utilization, and project status reports for leadership review.
• Drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights and post-project reviews.

Job Requirements

Professional Qualifications:

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
• Experience in manufacturing environment with at least 5 years of solid experiences in a similar role (R&D, pilot line, or new factory setup preferred)
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
• Familiarity with layout design tools (e.g., AutoCAD) and data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
• Good communication skills to work across R&D, operations, and management teams

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

• Experience in new factory setup or expansion projects
• Exposure to automation, Industry 4.0, or smart manufacturing systems
• Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt certification
• Experience in high-mix, low-volume (R&D) to high-volume manufacturing transition
