As an Industrial Designer at ASUS, you will contribute to the design of next-generation laptops forproductivity, creator, and gaming experience devices. You will support the team throughout the full industrial design processfrom early concept to productionwhile exploring future computing and AI-enhanced experiences. This role is ideal for designers with strong fundamentals in form, CMF, and usability, and a curiosity for using AI tools to improve design efficiency and creativity.
Job Responsibilities
- End-to-End Industrial Design- Support the full ID process, including trend research, ideation, 2D/3D design, CMF development, mock-ups, and prototypes.
- Laptop, Handheld & Gaming Hardware Design - Contribute to computing and gaming product design with a focus on product architecture, form factor, durability, thermal considerations, and manufacturability.
- Aesthetics, Ergonomics & Usability - Deliver high-quality design execution with strong attention to form, surface quality, ergonomics, and user interaction.
- AI & Future Computing Exploration - Assist in exploring AI-driven and future computing concepts, including intelligent features and new interaction ideas.
- AI Tools in Design Workflow - Apply AI-assisted tools to support design ideation, visualization, research synthesis, and workflow efficiency.
- Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration - Collaborate with researchers, UX designers, engineers, and product teams across Singapore, Taipei, and Shanghai to deliver production-ready designs.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as an Industrial Designer or in a similar role; experience in a relevant industry is preferred
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design thinking, including concept development, form exploration, and problem-solving for physical products
- Proficient in sketching, 3D CAD, and visualization tools (e.g., Pro/ENGINEER (Creo), Rhino, SolidWorks, KeyShot, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
- Basic understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for production
- Experience or strong interest in using AI tools to support design ideation, research, or visualization
- Good communication, collaboration, and design storytelling skills in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
- Fluent in English; Chinese proficiency is a plus
