We are looking for Industrial Designers with strong backgrounds in Engineering.
Your purpose would be to solve client problems and bring ideas to reality.
You should demonstrate the ability to be an all-rounded operator. What you don't know, you should be able to learn.
1. Purpose: Turn ideas into products
Tasks
- Develop sketches, concept renders, and design directions
- Translate client needs into product concepts
- Explore form factors, ergonomics, usability, and user experience
- Participate in brainstorming and ideation sessions
- Create presentation materials for internal and client reviews
2. Purpose: Bridge industrial design with engineering realities
Tasks
- Work closely with mechanical and electronics engineers
- Design with manufacturing and assembly constraints in mind
- Consider tolerances, materials, fastening methods, and production feasibility
- Support design-for-manufacturing decisions
- Collaborate on enclosure and mechanical integration challenges
3. Purpose: Accelerate prototyping and product iteration
Tasks
- Prepare CAD models for prototyping and fabrication
- Support 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC, or fabrication workflows
- Test and refine prototypes based on feedback
- Participate in hands-on assembly and iteration
- Document learnings and improvements during development
4. Purpose: Help projects move forward efficiently
Tasks
- Manage design deliverables and timelines
- Participate in project meetings and reviews
- Communicate progress clearly with internal teams
- Organize design files and documentation using provided systems
- Balance speed, quality, and practicality
5. Purpose: Contribute to mēkās culture of builders and learners
Tasks
- Share ideas openly
- Learn new tools, technologies, and processes
- Participate in cross-disciplinary collaboration
- Support teammates when needed
- Maintain curiosity and initiative across projects
