We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented IMPEX Team Lead / Senior Executive to manage and oversee import and export operations for our food processing industry.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage import and export (IMPEX) operations for food products
- Communicate with overseas customers regarding orders and quotations
- Liaise with suppliers for ordering and delivery
- Oversee loading and off-loading of cargo (pallets or full containers)
- Ensure compliance with Singapore Customs, SFA and other relevant regulatory authorities
- Prepare, review and submit trade documentation such as permits, invoices, packing lists, COO and health certificates
- Coordinate with Operations and Production teams to plan exports efficiently
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines and transporter
- Monitor shipment schedules and resolve customs clearance or delivery issues
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with audit and regulatory requirements
- Stay updated on changes in trade compliance, food safety and customs regulations
- Support cost control, duty optimization and process improvement initiatives
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Working Days & Hours:
- Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Saturday: 8:00am - 12:00 noon
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of IMPEX experience, preferably in the food processing or FMCG industry
- Strong knowledge of Singapore Customs regulations, TradeNet and SFA requirements
- Experience handling controlled food items and import/export permits
- Leadership or supervisory experience is an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant trade systems
- Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
- Able to converse in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients, suppliers and business counterparts as part of job duties
- Able to work independently and manage deadlines
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work across teams
- Adapt with fast-paced environment with hands-on responsibilities
