Job Description

Scope and Purpose

Scope of responsibilities includes IT, telecoms and other IT related equipment's of the Singapore branch:

Sound knowledge of policies & procedures

Drafting of User Manual & Documents

Implement controls & checks on IT systems

Ability to transform business requirements into technical requirements

Manage IT fixed assets and accessories (purchase and disposal, maintenance, record keeping, and so on)

Handle IT-related reporting, requests and queries

Handle staff access to the Branch's systems

1st level help desk support (for desktops, laptops, printers, corporate handphones, internet, and so on)

Attend to problems regarding SIRE (IBM AS400 core banking system), SWIFT and so on, open incident tickets to Head Office Helpdesk and follow up

Monitor and ensure the IT system health status and performance including CTS (Cheque Truncation System), IBG( Inter Bank Giro) and so on

Ensure the operations of Voice Recording system

Ensure the first level support of Trading platforms like Bloomberg, Reuters and others

Perform support and administration duty on system and networking infrastructure including server room facilities such as network patching, monitoring of UPS and cooling system, and so on

Manage hardware and software deployment with regular updates

Support the upgrade or testing of IT systems according to the instruction from HK Hub IT, Head Office or service providers

Prepare and manage technical documentation and operation manual

Perform standby duty after normal office hours when required

Coordinate with Head office for issues related to different systems and processes

Coordinate with suppliers and service providers

Perform any other related duties as assigned

Required Experience

3 - 5 years of work experience with a focus on system administration and support.

Experience in the role in banking industry is preferred.

Competencies Required

  • Diploma or above in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines
  • Sound knowledge of Singapore IT compliance & regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge in drafting policies & Procedures as per the requirement, documentation
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of network infrastructure such as Switches, Routers, Firewall and so on
  • Understanding of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory
  • Knowledge of MS SQL Server
  • Programming in Excel (VBA, macros, ODBC connectivity) and automation under Windows and Unix (Red Hat) environments
  • Profound Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Sound knowledge in Desktop support and incident management
  • Knowledge of financial industry is preferred
  • Microsoft certifications MCSE, MCSA
  • IT Certifications ITIL,CGEIT & other certifications will be an added advantage
