COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Located on Jurong Island, the petrochemical hub of Singapore, SRC operates a refinery that is capable of processing 290,000 barrels of crude oil per day to produce fuel products and chemical feedstocks that are supplied to domestic markets and overseas export markets under the brand labels of its shareholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Selected candidate will join one of the teams (Instrument / Electrical / Analyser), assessed by suitability and competency.
Provide maintenance and technical support for plant operations in an oil refining environment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of assigned equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities (Applicable to all IE Technicians)
- Support plant operations by ensuring reliable performance of assigned equipment and systems
- Carry out preventive maintenance, inspections, and functional testing according to maintenance schedules
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and support root cause analysis
- Liaise with operations and engineering teams on equipment performance and issues
- Provide afterhours and emergency maintenance support when required
- Ensure all work complies with HSE, Electrical Safety, and Safe Work Procedures (SWP)
- Complete maintenance records, reports, and required documentation accurately
Instrumentation
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on field instruments
- Perform instrument calibration and verification
- Troubleshoot instrumentation faults and support repair or modification works
Electrical
- Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot systems including UPS, DC chargers, motors, and LV/HV switchgears
- Execute assembly, wiring, and termination works on LV/HV switchboards
- Read, interpret, and update electrical single-line diagrams and schematics
Process Analyser
- Maintain, calibrate, and function-test process analysers
- Diagnose analyser performance issues and support corrective actions
- Ensure analyser systems meet operational accuracy and reliability requirements
QUALIFICATIONS- Diploma or NITEC in a relevant Engineering discipline
OTHER INFORMATION- At least 3 years relevant experience in an oil refinery/ petrochemical plant, preferably with EMA license
- Candidates without relevant experience may be considered for entry-level positions
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
