ID Design Manager/ Lead Interior Designer

We are seeking a highly creative, detail-oriented, and multi-skilled Lead Designer with a strong design eye and leadership capabilities. Responsibilities:-

. Undertake design projects from concept to completion.

. Take charge of overall project management, planning & control and execution, risk management including project budget evaluation and profitability.

. Lead, supervise, monitor and implement projects to ensure quality of workmanship, timeliness, compliance with technical and safety requirements and adherence to client's requirements.

. Prepare tender documents, including drafting of contracts, evaluating and providing recommendations for tenders, and awarding of procurement contracts.

. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

. Lead respective project teams to prioritize signed off project works based on analysis of strategic importance, outstanding tasks, budget resources, deadlines and other constrains.

. Track and forecast monthly project revenue and expenses, and other key project metrics.

. Make site visits to check on project status and report on project.

. Outline and Responsibilities

• Lead and drive design projects from concept through completion.
• Set the overall design direction and ensure strong conceptual clarity and quality throughout all project stages.
• Supervise and mentor the design team, providing creative guidance, feedback, and support.
• Manage and oversee design development, technical drawings, and coordination with consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Participate actively in client presentations, design reviews, and approvals.
• Balance creativity with practicality by considering budgets, technical requirements, and project timelines.
• Conduct site visits to review project progress, ensuring design intent and quality are achieved.
• Research and implement innovative design approaches, trends, materials, and best practices.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and contractors, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
• Support business development efforts by contributing design expertise, proposals, and client engagement.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative concepts, technical ability, and project execution.
• Proven leadership skills with experience guiding and inspiring a design team.
• Strong planning, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to understand and produce both design and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage, to liaise with China-based clients.
• Willingness to travel when required.determine resource requirements of respective projects.

. Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and follow up on new business opportunities with clients.

. Constantly research new and innovative designs, industry trends and best practices.

. Participate in design review presentations to Management to gain approval to proceed with said design.

. Maintain good rapport with suppliers, client consultants and architect contractors.

Requirements:-

. Diploma or Certificate in Interior Design, Architecture, with at least 3 years of relevant working experience.

. Must be able to understand and read design and technical drawings.

. Strong leadership, planning and organization skills.

. Self-motivated and result orientated with good interpersonal and communication skills.

. Able to read, write and speak Mandarin to deal with our China clients.

. Willing to travel.
