Job Description

Position: ICT Trainer (x1)
Salary: $3,300 - $3,500/month
Contract: 12 months (Option to extend)
Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 5:00pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch)
  • Friday: 7:30am - 4:30pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch)
  • No work on Saturdays, Sundays, or gazetted public holidays

Requirements:

  • Diploma or higher in a relevant field (relevant experience may substitute qualifications).
  • Strong knowledge of Scratch (required).
  • Familiarity with Micro:bit and/or Matatalab (preferred).
  • Photography (DSLR) and photo editing skills (e.g. Photoshop).
  • Videography and video editing skills.
  • Knowledge of Google applications and ICT troubleshooting is an advantage.
  • Robotics knowledge is a plus.
  • Preferably at least 1 year of experience in a local school environment.

Role Overview:
The ICT/Enrichment Trainer will plan and deliver ICT programmes for students and staff while supporting the organisation's ICT initiatives. The role includes curriculum planning, training delivery, ICT system support, and maintaining digital learning resources.

Key Responsibilities:

Programme Planning & Delivery

  • Collaborate with HOD/ICT to design and implement ICT programmes aligned with curriculum objectives.
  • Conduct ICT training for students and staff.
  • Support ICT-related projects (e.g. photography, videography, video editing).
  • Assist in researching and developing ICT solutions.

Student Training

  • Teach basic computer operations and digital literacy (e.g. Microsoft Office, touch typing).
  • Teach coding and computational thinking (e.g. Scratch, Micro:bit, Matatalab, Arduino, drone programming).
  • Ensure students attendance, safety, and well-being during training.

Staff Training & Support

  • Train staff in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint Live) and Google/Apple applications (Google Classroom, Apple Classroom).
  • Support Student Learning Space (SLS) and Home-Based Learning (HBL) platforms.
  • Provide hands-on support to improve teachers ICT skills, including photo/video editing and coding basics.

ICT & Administrative Support

  • Maintain computer labs, iPad carts, and digital devices.
  • Manage school website and social media platforms.
  • Provide ICT troubleshooting and support administrative tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with MOE policies and guidelines.
