Job Summary
You will lead the planning and execution of ICT and enrichment training programmes tailored to meet the Authority's educational objectives. This role involves managing ICT systems, delivering training to students and staff, and supporting ICT-related projects to enhance digital literacy and technology integration.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Head of Department (HOD) ICT to design and implement ICT programmes aligned with the Authority's objectives and curriculum.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive ICT training packages that address the learning needs of all students.
- Conduct ICT-related training sessions for students and staff, including software and hardware usage.
- Manage the Authority's ICT systems, including maintaining the school website and social media presence to ensure effective communication and engagement.
- Lead ICT-related projects such as photography, videography, and video editing to support the Authority's initiatives.
- Assist in researching and developing innovative ICT solutions to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
- Monitor and ensure students attendance and well-being during scheduled training sessions.
- Deliver student training on basic computer operations, including login procedures and password management.
- Teach digital literacy skills such as touch typing and Microsoft Office tool usage to students.
- Provide coding and computational thinking instruction using platforms like Micro:bit, Scratch, drone programming, and Arduino.
- Plan and conduct short ICT awareness programmes for staff covering Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint Live), photo and video editing, coding (MatataLab, Micro:bit, Arduino, HTML), and useful internet resources for teaching and learning.
- Train staff on Google, Android, and Apple applications, including Google Classroom and Apple Classroom.
- Facilitate staff training on Student Learning Space (SLS) and Home-Based Learning (HBL) microsite usage.
- Collaborate closely with teachers to enhance their ICT skills and integrate technology into their teaching practices.
- Proactively monitor technology trends and new tools that support teaching and learning, providing professional recommendations to HOD ICT and ICT Manager.
- Support the ICT Manager with administrative tasks and data generation as needed.
- Ensure compliance with Ministry of Education (MOE) policies, guidelines, and standards in all ICT activities.
- Maintain the Authority's computer labs to ensure they are functional, neat, and orderly.
- Manage the Authority's ICT equipment, including iPad carts, accessories, and digital devices under ICT Manager supervision.
- Perform other ICT-related duties and tasks as assigned by the Authority.
Required competencies and certifications
- Demonstrated knowledge and practical skills in coding using Scratch.
- Proficiency in photography using Digital SLR cameras and photo editing software such as Photoshop.
- Skills in videography and video editing.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or higher qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience and expertise.
- Knowledge of coding platforms such as MatataLab and Micro:bit.
- Experience with Google applications (Google Drive, Google Forms, Google Classroom, Apple Classroom).
- ICT troubleshooting skills.
- Experience or knowledge in robotics.
- At least one year of working experience in a local school environment.
Other Information
Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:
- Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 5:00pm, inclusive of 1-hour lunch break
- Fridays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 1-hour lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays
