ICT Infrastructure Assistant Manager (construction industry)

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Manage and support IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, cloud solutions, and enterprise applications.
Monitor system performance, availability, security risks, vulnerabilities, and incidents to ensure operational continuity.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers on maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
Oversee day-to-day ICT support and helpdesk operations, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and service requests.
Support cybersecurity policies, security audits, patch management, compliance activities, and staff security awareness.
Supervise ICT support staff, including task allocation, performance monitoring, coaching, and competency development.
Maintain IT documentation, knowledge bases, SOPs, and user guides.
Participate in ICT, digital transformation, and technology improvement projects, including solution evaluation, implementation, and progress tracking.
Collaborate with business units to support technology adoption and process improvements.
Manage operational matters such as staff leave, claims, appraisals, training, and related administrative requirements.
Provide timely reports on assigned tasks and projects and proactively highlight risks or issues.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
6-8 years of relevant experience in ICT operations, infrastructure, systems support, and/or cybersecurity.
Strong knowledge of networks, servers, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and IT service management.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Experience supervising IT support teams and managing vendors will be an advantage.
IT certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA are advantageous.
