Objective: Provision and operate Government Commerical Cloud C Azure landing zone and IaaS infrastructure to host, meeting GCC 2.0 compartmentalisation and security requirements.
What you'll be doing
Plan and execute lift-and-shift migration of IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) 9.0 environments and Java applications to Azure IaaS (VM-based) with minimal refactoring.
Rehost IBM HTTP Server (IHS) 9.0 web servers including clustering / load balancing configurations coordinate DNS/VIP cutover.
Migrate batch automation and scheduled jobs (including batch job components) and validate end-to-end runs.
Rehost SAP Crystal Server 2020 reporting services and Apache Tomcat configurations, ensuring report parity post-migration.
Coordinate with Infrastructure Engineer to implement Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC), Virtual IPs, and load balancing patterns in Azure.
Update/validate application-to-database connectivity (ODBC/OLEDB), connection strings, and driver compatibility.
Execute system integration testing (SIT), performance smoke checks, and migration validation support UAT and go-live.
Provide hypercare and production support (incident/problem management), including runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge transfer.
What we're looking for
Extensive experience (5-8 years) as a full-stack developer or migration engineer
IBM WebSphere Application Server 9.0 administration (profiles, cells, nodes, clustering) and troubleshooting.
Java application deployment and operations (logs, JVM tuning basics, packaging/build artifacts).
BM HTTP Server 9.0 configuration (plugins, SSL, virtual hosts) and load balancing integration.
SAP Crystal Server 2020 administration and Apache Tomcat operations.
Windows Server 2019 and WSFC fundamentals PowerShell automation for repeatable builds.
Experience migrating enterprise applications to cloud (rehost), including cutover planning, rollback and validation.
Operational support experience (ITIL incident/problem/change), documentation and KT.
