We are seeking an IB English teacher to guide students in mastering language skills and deepening their engagement with literature.
- Teach IB English across the MYP and DP programmes.
- Develop lesson plans that integrate English language skills with appreciation of literature.
- Prepare students for IB assessments in English, including orals, essays and exams.
- Foster critical thinking, creativity, and academic inquiry through English and Literature.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in professional duties as necessary outside of the scope of the school day (e.g. Field trips, professional development on weekends as needed, and after school meetings as required)
- Lead/coach an after school CCA (co-curricular activity)
- Contribute to school continuous improvement by being a member of assigned committee or work group
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Literature, or Education
- Prior teaching experience in IB MYP and DP English courses.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Passion for inspiring students to excel in English and Literature.
