HVAC Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to HVAC design for industrial projects across multiple sectors including pharmaceutical, semiconductor, and data centers

• Prepare and deliver HVAC design documentation across Concept Design (CD), Basic Design (BD), and Detailed Design (DD) stages, including:

User Requirement Specifications (URS)

Cooling load and air balance calculations

Airflow and instrumentation diagrams

AHU zoning and pressurization schemes

HVAC design reports

Duct routing and technical specifications

3D models using Revit or SketchUp

Detailed and shop drawings (preparation and review)

• Coordinate with project stakeholders such as LDI, PE, and QP to ensure smooth design development and execution

• Assist in procurement processes, including:

BOQ preparation and value engineering initiatives

Development of tender documentation

Technical evaluation of bids and preparation of reports

• Review submissions from designers and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project specifications and relevant standards

• Provide technical guidance and support during construction and site activities when necessary

• Contribute to sustainability initiatives and certification processes, including FM and LEED

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in HVAC design additional experience is advantageous

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

• Proficient in design and engineering tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and CFD software

• Familiar with industry standards including FDA, cGMP, and ISO 14644

• Knowledge of international codes and standards such as IBC, IMC, and ASHRAE

• Strong technical understanding of HVAC system design and material selection

• Effective communication skills for coordination and technical reporting

• Open to travel for project-related assignments when required
