About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on HR Specialist to support the people and culture agenda of a fast-growing consumer medical device startup in Singapore. This role will work closely with business leaders to manage end-to-end HR operations while helping to build scalable HR processes suitable for a regulated and high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Administration
- Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, and HR documentation
- Administer payroll coordination, leave management, and benefits with external vendors
- Ensure accurate maintenance of HR systems and personnel files
Recruitment & Talent Support
- Support end-to-end recruitment activities including job postings, screening, interview coordination, and offer administration
- Partner with hiring managers to understand manpower needs and hiring priorities
- Support employer branding and hiring initiatives suitable for a startup environment
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as the first point of contact for employee HR-related queries
- Support employee engagement activities and internal communications
- Assist in handling employee relations matters in accordance with Singapore employment regulations
Compliance & Policies
- Ensure HR practices comply with Singapore labor laws and MOM regulations
- Support implementation and maintenance of HR policies, employee handbook, and internal guidelines
- Assist with audits, documentation, and compliance requirements relevant to the medical device and healthcare industry
HR Projects & Scaling
- Support HR projects related to organizational growth, process improvement, and digitalisation
- Assist in setting up scalable HR frameworks as the company grows regionally
- Work closely with leadership to support a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a startup, SME, or high-growth environment
- Good knowledge of Singapore employment law and HR best practices
- Experience supporting recruitment, HR operations, and employee relations
- Exposure to regulated industries (healthcare, medical devices, life sciences, or technology) is a plus
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills
- Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working in a lean team
