Job Summary

The HRM will lead the design and execution of performance and development systems across multiple preschool centres. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will align HR strategies with business goals, drive talent management frameworks, and ensure compliance with employment laws to foster a high-performance, employee-focused culture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute HR strategies and initiatives that align with the organisation's overall business objectives to drive workforce effectiveness
  • Lead and mentor HR Asst/Exec, providing guidance and supervision to ensure effective HR operations
  • Partner with centre leaders and external stakeholders (ECDA, MOM, etc) to align HR practices with operational needs and regulatory requirements
  • Develop workforce plans and succession strategies to ensure sustainable staff
  • Facilitate resolution of employee relations issues by addressing demands, grievances, and conflicts to maintain a collaborative work environment
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes, including revision of letters, contracts, and employment condition updates to ensure smooth talent acquisition and integration
  • Design, implement, and monitor HR systems, policies, and SOPs to support operational consistency and compliance
  • Yearly update of employees handbook to reflect current policies and best practices
  • Conduct exit interviews and manage leavers processes to capture insights and ensure proper offboarding
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace culture that supports employee engagement and retention
  • Oversee, implement and manage a performance appraisal system aligned with ECDA's skills framework
  • Manage payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely compensation processing
  • Identify training needs, monitor and review their effectiveness to enhance employee skills and performance
  • Generate and present HR metrics and reports to management, leveraging analytics to inform strategic decision-making
  • Ensure full compliance with employment laws and regulations to mitigate organisational risk
  • Stay current with developments in employment legislation and HR best practices to continuously improve HR functions
  • Perform routine and special tasked HR duties required to support organisational needs

Pre-Requisites

  • Degree in HR Management, Business Admin or equivalent
  • Min 3 - 5 years HR experience in managerial responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of MOM regulations, Employment Act
  • Knowledge in ECDA requirements would be advantageous
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Experience in preschool or education sector preferred

Able to commence Immediate or on Short Notice
Work location : Jurong West (shifting to Bukit Timah, near Cashew mrt)
