Role Description The HSEQ Intern role is a temporary, on-site position based in Tuas. The intern supports Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) activities, including assisting with safety inspections, tracking corrective actions, and updating HSEQ documentation and databases. Daily tasks may include supporting risk assessments, helping prepare incident reports, and participating in toolbox meetings or safety campaigns. The intern also helps compile data for HSEQ performance indicators, supports internal audits, and assists in promoting compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. This position offers exposure to industrial operations and practical experience in implementing HSEQ policies in a real-world setting.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Foundational understanding of HSEQ principles, including risk assessment, incident reporting, and basic safety and environmental regulations.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to collect, interpret, and present data accurately.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and frontline staff.
- Attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and willingness to learn in an industrial, on-site environment.
- Ability to follow established procedures, adhere to safety guidelines, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prior exposure to industrial, manufacturing, or energy-related environments through projects or internships is an advantage.
