HSE Manager (Utilities / Process Plant Environment)

Recruit Haus is supporting a Jurong Island-based industrial operation within the water and utilities sector.

This role will be responsible for leading site Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) activities and partnering closely with operations, maintenance and contractor teams to ensure safe, compliant and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead site Health, Safety & Environmental activities across plant operations

• Ensure compliance with Singapore Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) and environmental regulations

• Drive risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions

• Manage contractor safety performance and Permit-to-Work (PTW) processes

• Conduct site inspections, audits and safety improvement initiatives

• Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to identify and mitigate operational risks

• Support and maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems

• Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors and regulatory authorities where required

Requirements

We're keen to connect with candidates who possess:

✔ At least 8 years of HSE experience within a process plant or industrial environment

✔ Experience supporting operations within one or more of the following sectors:

• Water / Wastewater Treatment
• Utilities
• Chemical Plants
• Petrochemical Plants
• Energy Facilities
• Industrial Process Plants

✔ Strong knowledge of Singapore Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements

✔ Hands-on experience in:

• Risk Assessment (RA)
• Incident Investigation
• Contractor Safety Management
• Permit-to-Work (PTW) Systems
• Safety Audits & Inspections

✔ Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related discipline

Preferred

⭐ Jurong Island experience

⭐ WSH Officer and/or WSH Auditor certification

⭐ Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems
