Job Description

This role supports all required HSSE activities in a project. It has responsibility for ensuring that the company HSSE Management Systems and related activities are adequately maintained and implemented so that resulting actions are delivered effectively, minimising risks to the project and company.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Offers knowledge and skills in order to generate and promote a positive HSSE culture. This represents a key role in helping control business related risks in the organisation
  • Ensuring all HSSE Management System documentation is kept up-to-date and for ensuring policies and practices are adopted and executed onsite.
  • Assist in planning, implementing, monitoring and reviewing all aspects of the HSSE management system
  • Ensures that the company Management System certification remains operational
  • Supports the organisation's aim to avoid operational losses, minimise brand protection issues and to assure continued process capability to its clients
  • Assists with the management of suppliers performance and be involved in project feedback
  • Ensure MSRA is available for each task onsite prior to start of work.
  • Maintains HSSE performance databases in accordance with company requirements.
  • Assists with preparation for and attends required project meetings
  • Conducts onsite inspections and propose proper corrective and preventive actions for observations raised.
  • Propose changes to working practices that are safe and add to an improved Company HSSE performance
  • Keeps up to date with new developments and maintain a working knowledge of the latest HSSE related techniques and developments
  • Supports continual improvement initiatives
  • Develops Safety and Environmental activities.
  • Supports HSSE training
  • Manages and maintains the company Incident reporting system
  • Coordinates attendance and prepare HSSE meeting agendas
  • Attends HSSE meetings and produce minutes when required.
  • Maintains document control and records registry
  • Assists in the formatting of procedures and forms
  • HSSE poster and notice board updates
  • Support internal and external (e.g. ConSASS, etc.) audit
  • Close coordination with fire wardens and first aiders if required, ensure training is up to date and adequate cover is assured
  • Communicates regular safety moments
  • Mentor/Coach contractors to perform safe work onsite
  • Stop work when unsafe act/conditions are seen.
  • Supply monthly incident and headcount reporting information
  • Report HSSE incidents and track to closure

Qualification

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5-7 years of construction HSSE experience
  • MOM WSH Coordinator course completion preferred

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office to include Excel
  • Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills
  • Confident self-starter who can work independently
  • Experience of working in and managing a HSSE Management system environment
  • Knowledge of internal, external and third-party certification audits.
  • Knowledge of HSSE standards and legal requirements
