The HR Intern (People & Culture) supports the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the People & Culture team. This role provides the intern with hands-on exposure to HR operations, employee engagement, event coordination, and employer branding, serving as a strong foundation for a career in Human Resources.
1. HR Operations & Administration
- Maintain and update the HR dashboard with accurate employee data, headcount, and key HR metrics flag discrepancies to the team promptly.
- Support the update of employee insurance records, including new joiners, resignees, and changes in coverage liaise with the insurance provider and ensure documentation is filed accurately.
- Assist with IT system updates, including coordinating with the IT Department to remove Epicor Training from onboarding and offboarding workflows for new hires and resignees.
- Manage and update the insurance members listing in line with staff movement, including additions for new hires, deletions for resignees, and any mid-cycle amendments ensure all changes are submitted to the insurer promptly and records are kept up to date.
- Assist employees with insurance claims by guiding them through the submission process, collating required documentation, and liaising with the insurance provider to track and follow up on claim statuses.
2.Onboarding & Offboarding Support
- Support the preparation and delivery of new hire orientations, ensuring a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience.
- Assist in coordinating new hire introductions to the team and facilitating day-one logistics.
- Help maintain onboarding checklists and documentation, ensuring all steps are completed in a timely manner.
3. Office & Procurement Support
- Monitor stationery levels and submit purchase requests when stocks run low coordinate with vendors and document purchases.
- Track pantry supplies (including coffee beans) and manage replenishment orders maintain a simple log for record-keeping.
- Coordinate travel accommodations for staff, including flights, hotels, and transport, in accordance with the company's travel policy.
4. Employee Engagement & Celebrations
- Maintain the employee birthday calendar and coordinate celebration arrangements (e.g. cards, cake, team shoutouts) to ensure every employee feels valued.

Sports Day
Staff Welfare programmes and activities
5. Employer Branding & Communications
- Assist in managing the company's employee branding efforts, including internal communication materials and templates.
- Create and schedule seasonal LinkedIn posts on behalf of the company (e.g. festive greetings, awareness days, company milestones), aligned with the brand's tone and guidelines.
- Support the People & Culture team in maintaining a consistent employer brand presence across internal and external channels.
