Job Summary

Manage and execute monthly payroll, statutory contributions, and annual tax reporting while supporting HR operations including roster changes, employee queries, government grant verification, and personnel cost forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Administer monthly and yearly payroll processing by preparing payment transactions for recurring allowances and one-time payments in the payroll system
  • Reconcile monthly payroll costs and headcount movements and generate bank payment files accurately
  • Prepare final settlements for resigned employees and manage tax clearance documentation (IR21)
  • Compile annual Director Cost related documents for payroll reporting
  • Process and administer HR-related employee benefits efficiently
  • Resolve payroll queries related to payroll calculations, attendance, and benefits to ensure employee satisfaction
  • Manage payroll maintenance tasks including roster changes, overtime submissions, leave applications, and delegation updates
  • Maintain and update HR and benefits systems to reflect current employee data and payroll changes
  • Generate HR reports on manpower metrics such as bonus provisions, annual leave accruals, personnel cost simulations, and retrenchment packages to support management decisions

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Prior experience working with established HR information systems such as Workday or SAP SuccessFactors
  • Diploma in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in HR operations and payroll within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication skills with digital proficiency and reliability in task execution
  • Ability to listen actively, request and accept feedback constructively
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and adaptability to learn quickly
