Job Description

Job Summary

  • The HR Associate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the onboarding process for new hires, managing internship experiences, supporting headcount planning and reporting, and ensuring the timely update of HR policies.
  • This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can effectively manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high level of service to both employees and management.
  • Roles and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage end-to-end onboarding process for new hires, including document collection and verification to ensure necessary clearances are obtained prior to onboarding, including:
  • Oversee completion of pre-onboarding requirements, e.g Work Pass Application, Medical Clearance, Safety Training, Workday Profile creation, etc. to ensure seamless onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date hiring trackers for headcount reporting and workforce planning purposes.
  • Conduct orientation sessions to introduce new employees to company policies, culture, and procedures.
  • Act as a point of contact for new hires, addressing any questions or concerns during the onboarding period.
  • Oversee end-to-end internship program from managing interns request to sourcing, selection and offer issuance prior onboarding, including:
  • Continuously develop and implement internship programs that provide meaningful work experiences
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure interns receive proper training and mentorship
  • Collaborate with the HR Partners to develop and implement new policies as needed
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are up-to-date and compliant with current corporate policies, government regulations and laws.
  • Communicate policy updates to employees and provide guidance on policy interpretation. Act as a bridge between shopfloor supervisors and HR to facilitate smooth functioning of the operations of the company by working closely with both management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
  • Advice supervisors in managing employee grievances and resolving conflicts.
  • Provide guidance and support in employee relations matters, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Foster strong relationships with shopfloor employees to understand their concerns and promote engagement
  • Support the rollout of either Corporate or local Human Resources Programs at site level e.g. compensation and benefits policies, Succession Planning, Workday Learning, Talent Acquisition, etc.
  • Embody, influence and drive the Company culture throughout the business.

Qualification and Education Requirements

  • At least a bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2 years of experience in an HR role, preferably with a focus on onboarding, internships, and HR policies.
  • Experience in a Manufacturing business.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Tactful and professional when managing human relations matters.
  • Meticulous and able to work independently in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices and legal requirements.
  • Experience in employee relations and grievance management is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
