HR Business/L&D Partner
We are seeking a proactive and people-centric HR Business/ L&D partner to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on Business Partnering and not limiting to employee engagement, HR operations, and people initiatives which contribute to a positive and thriving workplace culture. In addition, this role will support the organization L&D function. You will collaborate closely with managers and employees to drive engagement, building skills and competencies as well as enhancing HR service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Business Partnering & Employee Relations
- Act as the primary HR contact for the Business Operations Manager and employees, providing strategic, forward-thinking HR solutions, programs, and policies.
- Build strong relationships with leaders and line managers, offering guidance on people-related matters and supporting business objectives.
- Work closely with the HR Shared Services team to enhance efficiency, streamline HR processes, and improve the overall employee experience.
- Manage work pass applications, renewals, and compliance with Ministry of Manpower (MOM) regulations.
Talent Management & Employee Engagement
- Support performance management processes to recognize and develop high performers while identifying and addressing performance gaps.
- Serve as the key HR contact for employees within the business unit, providing guidance on HR policies and gathering employee feedback to enhance the workplace experience.
- Advise business unit stakeholders and employees on conduct and disciplinary matters in accordance with HR policies and best practices.
Learning & Development
- Work closely with local business leaders and HR colleagues to drive the Learning & Development agenda.
- Consult on development needs, supply L&D services and deliver selected training for employees
- Delivers training and deploys Learning & Development (L&D) services as defined in the annual Training Plan for technical and non-technical competence development.
- Manages training for safety certificates
- Releases other training campaigns
- Ensure relevant learning offering and L&D operational excellence across the region in alignment with global & local L&D direction.
- Manages internal trainer networks locally
- Communicates and follows through mandatory training reach e.g., compliance, safety, etc.
- Facilitates and promotes learner centric learning culture, runs campaigns for the local frontline.
- Focuses on training discipline, data accuracy and KPIs
- Challenges and consults on learning needs with clearly defined outcomes and timelines by broadening stakeholders views on what gets resolved with training and what is something else.
Vendor Management
- Supports vendor management for Canteen and Company Bus in terms of touchpoint and yearly renewal (including bid & tender).
Job Requirements
- Degree qualification in HR, Business or equivalent level
- IHRP certified or equivalent would be advantageous
- Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience, with strong exposure to HR business partnering.
- Broad HR generalist expertise across the employee lifecycle; Learning & Development experience is required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Proven coaching capability to support leaders and employees through performance, development, and change.
