The Human Resource Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the HR department, assisting with day-to-day HR functions including recruitment, employee records, payroll coordination, and compliance with company policies and regulations.
Assist in recruitment activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, and onboarding coordination
Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and personnel files
Support payroll preparation, attendance tracking, and leave management
Assist with work pass applications, renewals, and related documentation (if applicable)
Handle employee enquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures
Support implementation of HR policies, procedures, and internal communications
Coordinate training programs, staff meetings, and HR-related events
Ensure compliance with employment laws and company regulations
Perform general administrative duties and other HR tasks as assigned
Diploma or equivalent qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
At least 1 year of relevant HR or administrative experience (preferred)
Familiarity with HR processes, payroll systems, and employment regulations
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems
Able to handle confidential information with discretion
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multitask and work independently
Team-oriented with a positive attitude
Strong problem-solving skills
