Be the trusted first point of contact for employees while owning day-to-day people operations, workplace support, and HR systems. Reporting to the Head of Strategy, Communications & Enablement and working closely with the CEO and Finance, this role ensures smooth execution across hiring operations, employee lifecycle management, payroll coordination, and office operations, while helping build scalable people foundations across Singapore and global teams.
This is a hands-on role suited for someone who enjoys operational ownership, problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, and supporting growth in a fast-moving startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
People Operations & Employee Support
- Act as the primary HR contact for employee questions, concerns, and day-to-day support
- Support onboarding, offboarding, role changes, and employment documentation across Singapore and EOR employees
- Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, HR letters, and internal trackers
- Coordinate performance review cycles, maintain appraisal documentation, support compensation review processes, and administer role changes and promotions
- Coordinate learning and development initiatives, onboarding programs, and upskilling opportunities
Hiring & Workforce Operations
- Post job listings and coordinate hiring operations with department leads
- Support interview scheduling, offers, onboarding logistics, and EOR coordination
- Track hiring status, headcount, and employment changes across regions
Payroll, Benefits & Compliance
- Coordinate monthly payroll for Singapore (CPF, IRAS, MOM) and other jurisdictions via external providers (Malaysia, EOR platforms)
- Execute EP and work pass applications where required
- Manage employee benefits administration, insurance renewals, and vendor coordination
- Maintain compensation, benefits, and compliance records across all regions
- Monitor compliance with Employment Act, PDPA, WSH, ISO27001 and internal HR policies
HR Systems, Data & Documentation
- Maintain internal HR portal (org structure, roles, JDs, policies) and ensure data accuracy in HRIS
- Support audit preparation and internal reviews when required
- Identify skills gaps, people risks, and operational opportunities using data and AI tools where relevant
Office & Workplace Operations (Singapore)
- Oversee day-to-day office operations, vendor management (cleaning, maintenance, supplies), and facilities coordination
- Maintain workplace safety, functionality, and administrative records (invoices, service schedules)
The Ideal Candidate
Experience & Knowledge
- 25 years in HR administration or people operations, ideally in a scaling startup
- Solid understanding of Singapore Employment Act; regional or EOR exposure is a plus
- Familiarity with ISO 27001 and data security practices is a plus
