Host / Hostess (Guest Relations)
Job Summary:
As a Host/Hostess, you are the first point of contact for guests. You will warmly welcome customers, manage reservations, and ensure guests are seated comfortably. Your professionalism and attentiveness set the tone for the dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Manage seating and table rotation using reservation software or manually
- Handle phone calls and inquiries regarding reservations, menu, or special requests
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Maintain an organized waiting list during peak hours
- Communicate with servers and kitchen to ensure smooth flow of service
- Assist in resolving guest complaints or escalating to manager if necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and ambiance of the reception area
- Provide basic information about the menu and specials
Requirements:
- Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
- Previous F&B or customer service experience preferred
- Able to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Well-groomed and presentable
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
