Job Summary
You will operate delivery vehicles safely to load, transport, and deliver items islandwide on time while ensuring cargo accuracy and vehicle upkeep. You will maintain delivery logs, follow routes, and provide attentive customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operate delivery vehicles safely to ensure secure transport of goods
- Load and unload items carefully to prevent damage during islandwide deliveries
- Verify cargo matches the load assigned by Supervisors or Customers to ensure accuracy
- Maintain clear and accurate delivery logs and follow assigned routes efficiently
- Provide courteous and responsive customer service during deliveries
- Inspect and maintain vehicle condition, including cleanliness and routine maintenance
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules independently
Required competencies and certifications
- Hold a valid Class 3 or Class 4 driving license to operate delivery vehicles safely
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Demonstrate good communication skills to interact effectively with customers and supervisors
- Exhibit strong time-management skills to complete deliveries punctually
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks
