We are currently seeking a Helpdesk Technician to provide onsite IT support for one of our clients in Singapore.
Job Description:
As a Helpdesk Technician, you will be part of the frontline IT support team responsible for ensuring users can work effectively with their devices, applications, and workplace technology.
The role involves handling day-to-day technical requests, resolving common hardware and software issues, supporting Microsoft platforms, managing user access, maintaining IT assets, and coordinating with internal technical teams and external vendors when further assistance is required.
This is an onsite role supporting operations between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. (GMT+8), across Monday to Sunday, including Singapore Public Holidays, based on the assigned roster.
Key Responsibilities:
Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in IT helpdesk, service desk, desktop support, or end-user computing support.
Serve as the first point of contact for users requiring technical assistance, resolving common IT issues and directing more complex matters to the appropriate support teams.
Provide day-to-day support for workplace technology, including computers, laptops, printers, accessories, and other end-user devices.
Assist users with Microsoft 365 applications and carry out routine administration activities within the Microsoft 365 environment.
Handle initial troubleshooting for Microsoft Dynamics 365 incidents, gathering relevant information and coordinating escalation where specialist application support is required.
Process approved user account and access requests while ensuring permissions are assigned in line with established security and operational procedures.
Set up, configure, update, and troubleshoot end-user devices and business applications.
Keep IT asset records current by tracking equipment assignments, locations, ownership, condition, and lifecycle status.
Liaise with technology vendors and service providers on equipment servicing, software licensing, warranty claims, technical support, and related operational matters.
Carry out scheduled equipment checks and maintenance activities to help minimize service interruptions and hardware-related issues.
Monitor the general health and availability of end-user systems and address identified issues proactively where possible.
Support the setup and operation of meeting room technology, including video conferencing, displays, audio equipment, and associated peripherals.
Diagnose basic connectivity and network-related problems and work with the Network and Cybersecurity Engineer when issues require further investigation.
Maintain clear records of support requests, actions taken, issue resolution, and relevant operational information.
Contribute to other day-to-day IT support activities required to maintain reliable technology services for the client.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma, Degree, or relevant professional qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Practical experience supporting end users in a helpdesk, desktop support, service desk, or similar IT support environment.
Good working knowledge of Windows-based desktops and laptops, printers, peripherals, and standard workplace applications.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 or experience supporting enterprise business applications.
Experience handling user accounts, access permissions, and routine system administration activities.
Ability to diagnose and resolve common hardware, software, device, and connectivity issues.
Basic understanding of networking concepts and common LAN/Wi-Fi troubleshooting procedures.
Good organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate IT asset and support records.
Strong communication and customer service skills when assisting both technical and non-technical users.
Must be available to work on a shift/roster basis, including weekends and Singapore Public Holidays, in accordance with operational requirements.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience supporting users within an enterprise, managed services, or client-facing IT environment.
Exposure to IT service management or service desk ticketing platforms.
Familiarity with ITIL practices and structured incident/request management processes.
Relevant Microsoft, desktop support, or IT service management certifications would be advantageous.
Experience supporting meeting room, video conferencing, and workplace collaboration technologies.
Exposure to endpoint management, software deployment, patching, and device lifecycle management.
Knowledge of, or experience working with, omni-channel and multi-touchpoint e-commerce systems, platforms, and operational workflows will be an advantage.
