Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and client-centered Health Coach to join our multidisciplinary team. The Health Coach will play a key role in supporting individuals to achieve sustainable lifestyle and behavior change across areas such as nutrition, physical activity, stress management, sleep, and overall wellbeing. This role involves one-on-one coaching sessions, participation in shared health programs, and close collaboration with physicians, dietitians, and chefs to deliver a holistic, evidence-based approach to health optimization and long-term wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments to understand clients readiness for change, and health and wellness goals.
- Co-develop personalised, client-driven health and wellbeing goals focused on sustainable behavior change.
- Use motivational interviewing, goal setting, and accountability techniques to support clients progress.
- Deliver individual coaching sessions in-person and/or virtually.
- Maintain accurate documentation of coaching sessions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with the organization's requirements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (such as healthcare and allied health providers) when applicable.
- Participate in the development and facilitation of wellbeing workshops and events
Requirements
- Certification as a Health and Wellness Coach (certified by Wellcoaches and/or NBHWC, or eligible).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in health coaching or related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, curious and non-judgmental approach.
- Ability to work independently and support multiple clients effectively.
- Ability to apply behavior-change theory and coaching psychology principles as required for certification.
