My client, a leading trust and corporate services provider is currently seeking for a Head of Trust to help oversees all aspects of trust account management and fiduciary administration within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
- Lead, coach, and develop the Trust Administration team, including trust officers, administrators, and support staff.
- Establish departmental goals, staffing plans, and performance standards.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional client service.
Fiduciary Oversight
- Oversee the administration of all trust, estate, and agency accounts to ensure proper fiduciary management.
- Review and approve complex trust transactions, distributions, and investment actions.
- Ensure compliance with governing documents, fiduciary laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Handle escalations related to complex or sensitive client matters.
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain high standards of service for high-net-worth clients, beneficiaries, and advisors.
- Serve as a senior resource for trust structuring, interpretation, and resolution of disputes.
- Partner with Relationship Managers and Wealth Advisors to deliver integrated fiduciary solutions.
Risk & Compliance
- Ensure trust administration practices meet regulatory requirements including banking regulations, trust laws, tax codes, and industry best practices.
- Oversee internal audits, control testing, and remediation efforts.
- Implement and maintain strong risk-management frameworks for fiduciary operations.
- Monitor and mitigate operational, legal, and reputational risks.
Operational Excellence
- Develop and refine workflows, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Lead system optimization and technology adoption within trust administration processes.
- Monitor key operational metrics and ensure service-level adherence across the department.
- Coordinate with Legal, Tax, Investments, Operations, and Compliance to ensure integrated trust management.
Strategic Planning
- Contribute to long-term strategic planning for the fiduciary business.
- Identify opportunities to improve the client experience, streamline operations, and enhance competitive offerings.
- Support product development for new trust or estate solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in trust administration, fiduciary management, or wealth management.
- 3+ years in a leadership role managing trust officers or fiduciary teams.
- Deep understanding of trust law, estate planning, fiduciary duties, and tax considerations.
- Proven ability to manage complex trust accounts and sensitive client relationships.
- Strong regulatory and compliance knowledge
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
