Head of Technical Implementation, Asia Pacific

Tribe is a next-generation international issuer and acquirer payments processor, built to power innovation in financial services. With a modular, API-first architecture, Tribe delivers end-to-end digital payment solutions across issuing and acquiring and non-card payments, enabling fintech and bank partners to launch, scale, and operate with agility.

Role Summary

This is a senior regional role responsible for successfully integrating and launching Tribe's customers across Asia Pacific. You will lead the technical implementation function for Tribe's APAC business, owning complex payment integrations from solution design through to production launch.

Reporting to the General Manager, Asia Pacific, you will work closely with customers, Sales & Solutions and Tribe's global Technology and Product teams, and will have a mandate to build scalable implementation capability across the region. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for an entrepreneurial payments technology leader who is equally comfortable with customers, commercial teams and engineering organisations.

What Would You Do

• Technical Implementation: Own the technical customer journey from solution handover through integration, testing, certification and production launch
• Customer Technical Leadership: Act as the senior technical point of contact for APAC customers, building strong relationships with CTOs, CIOs, Heads of Product and other senior technical stakeholders
• Solution Design: Work with Sales & Solutions, Product and Technology to translate customer requirements into scalable, commercially viable technical solutions and implementation plans
• Integration & Delivery: Lead technical workshops, API integrations, testing, certification and production readiness across Tribe's issuing, acquiring and digital payment capabilities
• Scheme & Payment Expertise: Provide technical leadership across Visa, Mastercard and other payment networks, as well as APAC payment infrastructure including local rails, wallets and alternative payment methods
• Pre-Sales Support: Support Sales & Solutions with technical feasibility, solution architecture, RFP responses and customer workshops where technical expertise is needed to progress commercial opportunities
• Technical Governance: Establish clear implementation processes, documentation, milestones and KPIs to ensure consistent, predictable delivery across the region
• Risk & Escalation Management: Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies and delivery issues, coordinating with global Technology, Product and Engineering teams to resolve them
• APAC Product Input: Represent APAC customer and market requirements to Tribe's global Product and Technology teams, ensuring the platform continues to meet regional needs
• Team Leadership & Development: Build and lead Tribe's APAC technical implementation team, developing scalable processes, local expertise and a strong future talent pipeline
  
  

Experience

• Strong experience in payments, fintech, banking or financial services technology, including leadership of payment integrations and customer implementations
• A proven track record of leading complex technical implementations with banks, fintechs, PSPs, merchants or payment platforms
• Hands-on experience with Visa, Mastercard and other payment network certification and implementation processes
• Experience supporting pre-sales activity, including solution architecture, RFPs and technical workshops
• Experience building implementation processes and teams in a growing or scaling business
• Experience working with API-based, cloud-native or modular payment platforms (desirable)
  
  

Qualifications & Competencies

• Deep understanding of issuing, acquiring, payment processing, APIs and card schemes
• Strong knowledge of APAC payment infrastructure, including local payment rails, wallets and alternative payment methods
• The ability to translate business requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions, working fluently across commercial, product, technology and operational teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior technical and commercial stakeholders
• An entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable building regional capability while remaining hands-on in customer and delivery engagements
• Strong leadership capability, with the ability to attract, develop and motivate high-performing technical teams
• A degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
