The Opportunity:


Adecco is partnering with a well-established international distributor of premium perishable products, and we are seeking to hire a Head of Supply Chain for the business! The successful incumbent is responsible for leading the company's end-to-end operational functions, including procurement, import logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution. As part of the leadership team, this role drives operational efficiency, service reliability, and continuous improvement while ensuring alignment with the company's growth strategy.

  • Work hours: Mondays - Fridays, 9am - 6pm
  • Location: West region

The Job:

  • Oversee the company's end-to-end operations including procurement, transport, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution activities.
  • Lead and optimize transport operations and fleet management, including managing the company's truck fleet and third-party logistics partners to ensure reliable and cost-efficient delivery performance.
  • Drive improvements in delivery planning, routing optimization, fleet utilization, and transport cost control to enhance service levels and operational efficiency.
  • Manage procurement activities and supplier coordination, ensuring effective purchasing processes, cost control, and reliable supply availability.
  • Oversee warehouse operations to ensure stock accuracy, efficient order fulfilment, and optimized warehouse layout and space utilization to support operational scalability.
  • Ensure operational quality standards and compliance requirements are maintained, and support the resolution of customer issues through corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate closely with logistics providers, internal teams, and external partners to ensure smooth import handling, inventory availability, and timely order delivery.
  • Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and cost efficiency across the supply chain.
  • Lead and develop the operations team across procurement, transport, and warehouse functions, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure operational SOPs are implemented effectively while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to operational planning and strategy as part of the leadership team, supporting business growth and service excellence.

The Talent:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations management, preferably within distribution-driven businesses.
  • Proven experience managing transport operations, fleet management, and warehouse operations, including layout optimization.
  • Experience handling perishable or time-sensitive products within import-led distribution environments with fleet-based delivery operations will be advantageous.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities with experience working across cross-functional teams.
