Role DescriptionThe Head of Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of products or services. This senior role involves managing procurement, logistics, inventory, and distribution while aligning supply chain strategies with overall business objectives. The Head of Supply Chain drives operational excellence, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals.
- Oversee procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution operations.
- Lead and manage supply chain teams across multiple functions and regions.
- Monitor supply chain performance using KPIs and implement improvements.
- Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
- Identify risks in the supply chain and implement mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with production, sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Drive cost optimization, efficiency, and process improvement initiatives.
- Report supply chain performance, trends, and forecasts to senior management.
Qualifications- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Extensive experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of procurement, inventory control, and distribution strategies.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain management systems (ERP, WMS, TMS).
Preferred Skills- Experience managing multi-site or regional supply chains.
- Knowledge of lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Strong risk management and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, global, or complex operational environment.
- Understanding of sustainability practices in supply chain operations.
