Job Summary

Lead the Solution Design (SD) team to develop customer-centric solutions that deliver value and business returns. Drive strategic initiatives, manage governance, and foster innovation to support growth and contract retention.

Responsibilities

• Develop solution designs that deliver exceptional customer value and healthy business returns for DHL
• Support the formulation and deployment of strategic initiatives to advance solution design capabilities
• Lead the Solution Design team development and implement effective people management strategies
• Manage training programs to enhance proficiency in standard Solution Design tools and methodologies
• Oversee governance models and support frameworks for all design tools and methodologies to ensure compliance and quality
• Lead relationship management with internal and external solution design suppliers to optimize collaboration and delivery
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to align solution design functions with customer expectations
• Contribute to, review, and approve business cases to support solution design projects and investments
• Deploy solution design standards, policies, training, and development initiatives to achieve growth, contract retention, and continuous improvement objectives at DSC
• Drive innovation and implement automation solutions across new and existing business areas to enhance efficiency and competitiveness
• Provide direct leadership and performance management for a Solution Design team of 5 full-time employees

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant Solution Design experience in a multinational corporation, including at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Minimum 3 years of sales or technical sales experience preferred to support customer engagement and solution selling
• Experience in Warehouse and/or Transport Solution Design, Resource Modelling & Planning, and Packaging Products
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex data analysis
• Hands-on expertise in PowerBI preferred for data visualization and reporting
• Knowledge of storage and pick strategies, including automation and mechanization skills
• Operational and implementation skills preferred to support solution deployment and execution
