Our client is an established supplier of hazardous products and services to the marine and offshore industry with a regional presence. They are currently seeking a Head of Sales to join their team to drive aggressive commercial results.
Responsibilities:
- Develop plans and strategies for growing the business and achieving company sales goals for all businesses.
- Directly own key accounts, win deals, and lead sales with confidence
- Publish an annual sales strategy that defines the key initiatives for each market and geographic territory.
- Sets growth strategy and holds team accountable for execution.
- Manage the operation and resources of the team to deliver profitable growth.
- Manage the use of operating budgets for all sales/marketing activity for the division.
- Define the salesforce structure to grow sales.
- Hire and develop additional sales staff to grow the business.
- Define and oversee staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the team to achieve their targets.
- Plans, implements and manages the workflow and sales activities against KPls.
- Provide detailed and accurate forecasting to operations including status of KPls.
- Plans, controls and directs activities of the team.
- Create a company culture of success and goal achievement that is customer focused and achieves a high level of customer loyalty.
- Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to the company leadership team and other company functions.
- Manage the marketing function to establish successful sales support, channel and partner programs.
- Manage key customer relationships and participate in strategic opportunities.
- Travel for in-person meetings with customers, prospects and partners to develop key customer relationships.
Requirements:
- More than 10 years of sales leadership experience in the Marine and Offshore industry
- Hands on sales leader
- Ability to develop and implement sales strategies that align with company goals
- Experience in the regional markets and an understanding of different cultural sales strategies is essential
- Past experience in driving growth and turning around business will be desired
