Position Summary:
We are seeking an exceptional, forward-thinking Head Of Sales to lead our Asia Pacific
Middle East Oil & Gas specialty steel distribution business. This is a critical leadership role at
the heart of our growth strategy-responsible not only for driving revenue and expanding
market share, but for shaping the future of our presence in a highly competitive and rapidly
evolving sector.
The successful candidate will be a visible industry leader-trusted by customers, respected
by internal stakeholders, and known for delivering consistent, profitable growth. You will
lead a high-caliber regional sales organization, build enduring relationships with key
decision-makers across the Oil & Gas value chain, and position our specialty metals and
value-added solutions as the partner of choice in a demanding, highly competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Strategic Leadership
o Define, own, and execute a comprehensive regional sales strategy for the Oil
& Gas segment, aligned with corporate objectives, KPIs, and evolving market
dynamics.
o Translate strategy into clear priorities, actionable plans, and measurable
outcomes.
2) Team Management
o Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional sales team.
o Set clear KPIs and ensure accountability.
3) Customer Engagement
o Build and sustain deep, trusted relationships with major OEMs, EPCs,
machine shops, and end users purchasing specialty metals and value-added
services.
o Engage customers at all relevant levels-commercial, technical, operational,
and executive-to become a long-term strategic partner, not just a supplier.
o Act as an executive sponsor for key accounts.
4) Market Intelligence
o Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify
new business opportunities and areas for differentiation.
5) Sales Development
o Drive profitable sales growth through new customer acquisition, account
expansion, and value-added services.
6) Collaboration
o Work closely with our internal mills, local operations, supply chain, and
quality departments to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient order
fulfillment.
7) Reporting & Forecasting
o Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports
to senior leadership.
8) Portfolio Strategy
o Lead the product portfolio strategy to ensure a competitive position in the
market, consistently reviewing which products are demanded and can be
supplied profitably.
9) Pricing
o Lead pricing strategy to ensure financial KPIs are met, provide clarity to sales
team.
10) Contract Negotiation
o Initiate, develop and execute effective contractual relationships with
customers.
11) Continuous improvement
o Consistently review sales processes and suggest /implement optimization
measures.
12) Salesforce Use
o Ensure consistent and effective use of salesforce.
13) Marketing
o Work with marketing department to ensure the availability of excellent
marketing materials, orchestration of marketing events, trade show visit and
other marketing efforts to generate leads and strengthen brand recognition.
14) Technical Solution Development
o Provide technical solutions for customers based on their demands, in
addition to standard raw material purchases.
