Head of Sales
About AIS Academy
Learn Today. Thrive Tomorrow!
AIS Academy is a corporate training and professional education provider focused on developing capabilities for the future of work.
Our key areas include Artificial Intelligence, Sustainability, Customer Experience, Leadership & Soft Skills, and Workplace Safety & Health. We work with organisations, institutions and industry partners to deliver practical, high-impact learning solutions for both corporate and individual learners.
As AIS Academy enters its next phase of growth, we are looking for a commercially driven and entrepreneurial Head of Sales to lead our B2B and B2C revenue growth.
The Role
This is a highly revenue-driven, hands-on leadership role. You will own AIS Academy's sales pipeline and revenue performance from prospecting and opening new accounts to pitching, negotiating, closing and growing long-term client relationships.
In the initial phase, you will be expected to personally drive sales while building the processes, discipline and structure needed for scale. As the business grows, you will also build, lead and develop the sales team. This is a true hunter-farmer role: win new business, grow existing accounts and develop recurring revenue opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
B2B Sales & Account Growth
- Prospect, develop and acquire new corporate clients.
- Build relationships with HR, L&D, business leaders and key decision-makers.
- Generate opportunities through outreach, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, events and partnerships.
- Conduct client discovery and identify business and capability-development needs.
- Work with the product team to develop commercially compelling solutions.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations, pitches, RFQs and tenders.
- Negotiate and close opportunities.
- Grow existing accounts through repeat business, cross-selling and account expansion.
B2C Lead Conversion
- Own B2C sales conversion and, during the initial growth phase, personally engage and convert inbound enquiries.
- Engage prospective learners through phone, WhatsApp, email and other relevant channels.
- Understand learner needs and communicate programme outcomes, fees, schedules and funding arrangements where applicable.
- Follow up systematically and convert qualified leads into enrolments.
- Work with Marketing to improve lead quality and conversion.
Revenue & Pipeline Management
- Take ownership of sales performance and revenue targets.
- Build and maintain a strong, qualified sales pipeline.
- Maintain disciplined follow-up and accurate sales forecasting.
- Track conversion, pipeline value, account growth and other key sales indicators.
- Identify stalled opportunities and take action to move them forward.
- Provide regular commercial updates and recommendations to management.
Sales Team Leadership
- Build the AIS Academy sales function as the business grows.
- Recruit, onboard, coach and develop future sales team members.
- Establish clear targets, account ownership and performance expectations.
- Develop sales processes, playbooks and account-management practices.
- Build a high-performance, accountable and commercially driven sales culture.
Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing on B2B and B2C lead-generation campaigns.
- Provide market intelligence and client feedback to strengthen AIS Academy's programme portfolio.
- Collaborate with the product team to ensure solutions meet both client needs and commercial objectives.
- Contribute to sales collateral, case studies and campaign messaging.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong track record in B2B sales, business development, account management or commercial leadership.
- Proven ability to independently hunt, develop and close new business.
- Highly revenue-driven with strong commercial acumen.
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation and closing skills.
- Comfortable engaging senior management and corporate decision-makers.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Able to balance new client acquisition with long-term account development.
- Strong pipeline-management and forecasting discipline.
- Experience building or leading sales teams would be advantageous.
- Entrepreneurial, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-moving growth environment.
Experience in training, education, professional services, HR/L&D, consulting or B2B solutions sales would be advantageous, although demonstrated sales performance and commercial capability are more important than industry background.
