Head of Risk

About Our Client

Our client is a growing financial institution and fintech payments platform with a strong digital presence across the region. As the platform continues to scale its lending and payments ecosystem, the company is seeking to appoint a Head of Risk to lead risk strategy and governance.

This role will work closely with senior leadership to strengthen the organisation's risk management framework while supporting sustainable growth across digital and lending products.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the organisation's risk management framework, covering credit risk, portfolio risk and governance.

Develop and implement risk strategies and policies to support the growth of digital lending and payments businesses.

Provide oversight across credit underwriting, portfolio monitoring and risk controls.

Drive the use of advanced analytics and data-driven insights to enhance risk decisioning and portfolio performance.

Partner closely with business, product and technology teams to balance risk management with commercial growth objectives.

Monitor portfolio performance and recommend risk strategies to optimise customer growth while maintaining asset quality.

Strengthen risk governance, controls and reporting frameworks across the platform.

Promote strong risk management practices and culture across the organisation.

Requirements

15+ years of experience in risk management within fintech, consumer finance or financial institutions.

Strong credit risk experience with exposure to retail banking products or consumer lending portfolios.

Proven ability to develop risk strategies within digitally enabled financial platforms.

Strong analytical capability with experience leveraging advanced analytics and data-driven risk models.

Experience in consumer finance, digital lending or fintech platforms will be preferred.

Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across business, product and technology teams.

Strategic yet hands-on leader comfortable operating in high-growth environments.
